This fall, the SWE Society Conference will be held in Baltimore, Maryland from October 22nd-27th! We will be taking a number of SWE members to conference, and we'd like YOU to join us. Conference is a great opportunity to learn about a variety of topics from workshops, attend a HUGE career fair (250+ exhibitors!), develop your networking skills, and have fun bonding with your fellow SWE members! This is surely an opportunity on which you do not want to miss! The deadline for the application is now Tuesday, April 30th at 11:59 PM.

Call for volunteers! On Saturday, June 15th, SWE and the University of Texas are hosting an event called Careers in Engineering for Women. This event is targeted towards middle school girls, in an effort to increase interest in STEM careers. Commitment would involve completing a background check and security modules, participating in a 2 hour training session prior to the day camp, and volunteering at the actual event from approximately 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Deadline for volunteers is Wednesday, May 1st.

Help us celebrate the end of the semester with some double kayaking on Lady Bird Lake!! Cool down and have some fun the last day of the semester on Friday afternoon, May 3rd from 4-5 pm. If you need transportation, rides will be leaving campus at 3:30 p.m. Spots are limited, so RSVP on this form now!

Stop by the SWE office (ECJ 1.228) to pick up your Finals Care Package this week! We'll be passing out these bags of snacks and other treats from Monday through Friday. Bags are given to SWE members first, and are open to non-members at the end of the week. Good luck on finals!

SWE now has an electronic test bank! Donate at least 3 tests to gain access to the test bank on Blackboard. You can either email electronic copies of the tests to testbank.swe@gmail.com or hand in paper copies at the SWE office, ECJ 1.228. Please specify the course number, semester, year, professor, and test number (i.e. Exam 2, Midterm 1, Final Exam) for each test; add your EID to be added to the Blackboard group!
